Chairul Tanjung was born in jakarta on 16 june 1962. The name of parent’s chairul tanjung is abdul ghafar tanjung and halimah. Father’s  of chairul tanjung descent batak and his mom descent sunda.

Beginning chairul tanjung family is wealthy family. His father is journalist person in period of soekarno president and also publish a magazine, the pay reasonable. Once established this company they soon received orders amounting to 160 thousand pairs of shoes from itali. But then chairul decided to split up and my own business because it turns out his three friends had different vision with him.

Then  chairul founded his own company engaged in the media that is trans tv. Chairul very clever in building his company’s network and finally he managed to make a conglomeration then given the name of the group. The group it self divided the three fields, namely his efforts in finance , property, multimedia.

Because of this success, chairul tanjung crowned the new conglomerate in indonesian which are on the order of 6 and in 2010 was ranked 937 in the world forbes magazine.
